Subject

Spies--United States--History--Revolution, 1775-1783
Account books--New York

Description

On this page there are a few questionable cash withdrawals, although Townsend handled the emergency dispatch the network rushed through on July 21, 1780 differently than typical dispatches, because he used a response letter to a fake request from a leading Setauket area Loyalist for supplies he claimed not to have.
